Comfort in a Bowl...

Chicken or Turkey Noodle Soup
This recipe was given to me by my very dear friend Penny Willis. Penny is known for her soup… she travels the neighborhood with a pot of this in her car looking for someone in need of comfort!

She gave me the recipe.  Now I am giving it to YOU! There is something about homemade soup that just makes you feel better.  I love this soup for many reasons… my most favorite is that Penny brought me this soup when I was really sick…
and I love her for that!
P.S.  The Soup Is Absolutely Divine!!

·       3-4 cups of COOKED chicken or turkey cubed or shredded ( A rotisserie chicken with skin removed works perfect)
·       3 large containers of chicken broth OR 12 small cans
·       Grated carrots (add to your own taste… I add a lot)
·       Celery salt
·       Onion salt
·       Salt and Pepper
·       Parsley (dried)
·       24 ounce package of Reames frozen noodles

Make it...

·       In a large pot… add chicken broth, grated carrots and cooked turkey or chicken.
·       Add celery salt, onion salt and salt and pepper. Start easy handed on the seasoning. Taste your broth as it cooks…then season until it is just the way you like it!  You can always add more seasoning…but when you over season… well, that is just sad.
·       Bring to a low boil and boil for 10 minutes.
·       Add Reames frozen noodles and bring back to a low boil.
·       Let soup simmer on medium to medium low heat for 20 minutes.
·       Add parsley flakes if desired.
